Crown starts on Crowngate revamp

Plans unveiled for Angel Place entrance to Crowngate in Worcester.

The works are due to commence in March and will include new windows and a refurbished shopping centre elevation at Angel Place, modernising the entrance and introducing a new window box with improved signage throughout.

The entrance works form part of The Crown Estate’s commitment to build on the reputation of Crowngate shopping centre and Worcester. The £1.5m investment by the Crown follows the improvement works to the surrounding public realm and marketplace, creating a better environment for shoppers.

Nicole Campbell, asset manager at The Crown Estate, said: “Our plans to refurbish the façade of Angel Place will help enhance this part of the city and create a more welcoming entrance to Friary walk. We believe our investment into Friary Walk will benefit the whole city as it will attract more visitors and more businesses to Worcester, creating opportunities for existing businesses as well as giving an opportunity for new brands to come to the area.”
