Nash Bond and Orme Retail to lead retail leasing for Islington Square scheme

Cain International has appointed Nash Bond as joint letting agents with Orme Retail for the leasing of the 170,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space at Islington Square, north London’s newest retail destination.

The scheme will feature two new retail arcades and a tree-lined boulevard with 263 high-quality new homes and 108 serviced apartments above. The 170,000 sq ft of shops and restaurants will be complemented by an all-day leisure offer, including premium gym operator Third Space (47,992 sq ft) and a six-screen The Lounge by Odeon luxury cinema (22,000 sq ft).

The two new arcades are accessed via Upper Street, offering a unique proposition of modern quality retail units in a range of sizes. They include many with double-height ceilings and a number of larger units, which were previously unavailable in Islington.

“Islington Square will extend Upper Street’s prime village pitch and complement existing boutiques, cafes and shops within the locality, providing a ‘one stop shop’ for both new and existing customers,” said Laurie Stokes, director at Nash Bond. “These retail brands will form an integral part of the scheme’s mixed-use and vibrant offer, sitting alongside prime new homes and an impressive line-up of leisure names.”
