    CAU restaurants on the block

    GVA appointed to market CAU restaurant portfolio

    GVA has been appointed to market the CAU leasehold portfolio on behalf of the joint administrators, Matt Smith and Robert Harding from Deloitte.

    Alan Ryall, from GVA’s national restructuring solutions team and Stephen Cowperthwaite, head of retail, hotels and leisure, are leading the exercise.

    CAU, which traded from 22 locations across the country, entered into administration on 19 July 2018 and interest is now being sought on the following sites:
    • Bath
    • Blackheath
    • Bristol
    • Cambridge
    • Didsbury
    • Edinburgh
    • Glasgow
    • Guildford
    • Harrogate
    • Henley
    • Katharine Dock
    • Kingston
    • Leamington
    • Leeds
    • Liverpool
    • Manchester
    • Reading
    • Southampton
    • Tunbridge
    • Wimbledon
    • Wilmslow

    Stephen Cowperthwaite said: “CAU represents a strong underlying portfolio of restaurant premises located across the UK, situated within both prime high street locations and destination leisure developments. We have received strong interest in large parts of the portfolio and are pleased to be assisting the Administrators in the maximisation of value for the benefit of creditors.
