Danish bakery to open 10th London site at Eccleston Yards
Grosvenor has added to the F&B mix at Ecclestone Yards, the new hub for independent businesses, innovative entrepreneurs and creative talent, located on the border of Belgravia and Victoria.
Ole & Steen will open at 31 Eccleston Place, Belgravia, in late spring, launching a new bakery with outside seating providing an all-day menu that celebrates the best and freshest Danish food. In December 2016, the company opened its first bakery in St James’s Market in London and, since then, the highly popular concept has quickly expanded across the capital as well as branching out to Oxford.
Eccleston Yards is a complete restoration of derelict land in South Belgravia just minutes from Victoria train and coach stations. The new development, which launched in 2018, provides a hub for creative enterprises around a public square and 19 units dedicated to food, retail, co-working and wellbeing brands. Tenants include Barry’s Bootcamp, eco-friendly hair and beauty salon SMUK, 50M – a new concept store showcasing emerging designers, and London’s first drop-in meditation studio, Re:Mind.
Paul O’Grady, Director – South Belgravia at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland said: “Ole & Steen rounds out our dining offer at Eccleston Yards. The bakery’s prominent location on Eccleston Place will provide an animated gateway from Eccleston Street to this new and exciting destination in Belgravia. The arrival of Ole & Steen’s strengthens Belgravia’s diverse shopping and dining scene, providing a new amenity for locals, workers and visitors.”
