Hollywood Bowl opens state-of-the-art venue at intu Lakeside

Hollywood Bowl, Britain’s biggest tenpin bowling company, has opened one of its largest centres to date at the £72m extension to shopping and leisure destination intu Lakeside.

The 24-lane venue has six VIP lanes, an American-style diner, bar and state-of-the art amusement area, and is the first of four major attractions to launch at intu Lakeside’s leisure-led expansion before the start of the summer.

Openings for Puttshack, Flip Out, family entertainment centre Nickelodeon Adventure and a number of restaurants brands will follow this year. Thriving food hall business Market Halls has also selected the new site for the location for its first out-of-town concept, The Hall.

The rest of intu Lakeside is being transformed with a £10 million makeover to create new entrances and lighting and overhaul mall space linking to the 175,000 sq. ft. development.

Rebecca Ryman, regional managing director at intu, said: “intu Lakeside has always been one of the country’s most popular shopping centres and the wave of leisure brands opening will transform its customer experience, drawing in people from across the UK and creating new opportunities for the brands operating here.”
