Barber joins after more than a decade at UK REIT British Land

Cadogan has announced the appointment of Claire Barber as Asset Management Director. She will play a key role in the development of the Estate, drawing on her extensive retail and placemaking experience to support the management of Cadogan’s property assets and long-term stewardship of Chelsea.

Barber has over 20 years’ experience working for landlords, developers and consultants. She joins Cadogan after more than a decade at UK REIT British Land (focusing on retail asset management and development), where she held a number of positions including Head of Retail Development and Head of Retail Asset Management for London and the South East.

Hugh Seaborn, CEO of Cadogan, commented: “Claire has a real depth of retail experience leading a range of projects across development, leasing and asset management. She will undoubtedly play a significant part in amplifying Chelsea’s reputation as one of London’s leading locations to work, live and visit – including a pivotal role in strengthening Sloane Street’s positioning at the pinnacle of international luxury and re-energising and reinterpreting the King’s Road’s vibrant heritage for future generations.”

Claire Barber, asset management director, commented on her appointment: “I am thrilled to be working across Cadogan’s incredibly dynamic property assets in this heritage-rich heart of the capital. The Estate is in a unique position to safeguard and enrich Chelsea by creating and maintaining outstanding environments for everyone to enjoy – ensuring the right mix of retail, restaurant and leisure brands that are invested in the local community and breathe life into buildings.”
