iD Agile Retail, the retail solutions provider, has revealed plans for physical retail expansion into the UK retail market.

Tayo Akiwumi has joined the iD team as Director of International Business – a milestone, it said, the for the iD business, affirming their ‘aggressive and strategic plans’ to continue the growth of their Agile Retail proposition.

Akiwumi will join a leadership team headed by Group managing director, Marcus Fox, to help develop a number of APAC retail and brand partners looking to iD for expansion into the UK retail market .

Group managing director, Marcus Fox said of the new hire: “There has never been a better time for international brands to penetrate the UK market, and we’re seeing incredible appetite from APAC brands in particular.

“As we come out of Covid restrictions we can see a perfect melting pot of innovation, consumer desire and strong sales data further to be enhanced due to new global trade deals post Brexit.

“In this pivotal moment, there are a wealth of opportunities for brands and omni-channel retailers to connect with the UK and global consumer. Retailing is hard and operating overseas is a big leap for many brands; iD’s product Agile Retail offers the perfect fully outsourced retail solution for those who want to de-risk entering the UK market.”
