The team at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre in North London have been awarded with two hearts at the International CSR Excellence Awards, which recognises ‘companies that have a heart’.

The first of the awards was a bronze in the ‘Community Commitment’ category awarded for the centre’s ‘You Care, We Care, Edmonton Cares’ initiative. This is a charitable programme of fundraising activities launched during the pandemic, with each project planned and delivered at a local level in conjunction with a partner and driven by local needs and concerns.

The second award was in the ‘Charitable Giving’ category, where Edmonton also received a bronze for its support of The Salvation Army with the charity’s local Present Appeal.

Edmonton Green Shopping Centre competed against more than 500 other nominations in the International CSR Excellence Awards 2022, and the team was presented with trophies and certificates at a ceremony in London.

This double win was not the only recognition that Edmonton Green received from the Awards. The Centre also received the elite status of a ‘CSR World Leader’ for CSR best practice. This means the Centre’s winning paper will be published in the CSR World Leaders Book (the leading international work of reference on social responsibility best practice) so that others around the world can follow their lead and learn from their achievement. This will also entitle Edmonton Green to represent the UK in the CSR sector of the Green World Awards which will be presented in the US next year.

Sabri Marsaoui, asset director said “We are absolutely thrilled to have received two CSR Awards – and the status of CSR World Leader is such an honour. We are extremely proud of our commitment to our social responsibility and to be recognised in this way is simply fantastic.”
