Nike will open a new store inside Battersea Power Station when the Grade II listed building opens its doors to the public for the first time in history on October 14. The store will span approximately 8,380sq ft.

Nike is the latest retailer to join the mix of brands set to open at Battersea Power Station and on Electric Boulevard, a new pedestrianised high street for London, which will also open from October 14. Brands already announced to be setting up shop inside the Power Station include Hackett, Theory, Ace + Tate, Castore, Mango, Aēsop and Battersea Bookshop, a new neighbourhood bookshop from renowned London bookseller Stanfords.

Electric Boulevard will be home to a mix of office space, shops, bars and restaurants, a park and a new 164-room hotel from art’otel, the brand’s first in London. Retailers already announced to be opening on Electric Boulevard include ZARA, a new-concept M&S Foodhall and Korean food and culture hub, Oseyo.

Sam Cotton, head of leasing at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “Nike is a brand that always strives to offer a unique customer experience and to create a sense of community through its different store concepts, making it the perfect fit for Battersea Power Station. From the very beginning community has been at the heart of everything we do and will continue once we open the Power Station’s doors, offering a one-of-a-kind retail and leisure experience housed in the Power Station’s historic Turbine Halls for all to enjoy.”
