    Trio of contract wins for Aston Services Group

    Independent facilities services provider, Aston Services Group, has been awarded three new shopping centre contracts worth circa £1m per year.

    The Lancashire-based services provider has successfully won contracts for Ladysmith Shopping Centre in Ashton, Manchester; Prince Bishops Place, Durham; and Lakeside Doncaster.  All three contracts will be up and running by the end of the month.

    Ladysmith Shopping Centre is a dual service contract where both cleaning and security is provided by the same team along with landscaping and washroom services. The contract has been awarded by Ashdown Phillips & Partners with whom ASG already have a portfolio of c£2.5m.

    The contract for Prince Bishops Place, Durham, which has a footfall of circa 4m per year, is also dual service, covering both cleaning and security. Awarded by managing agents Munroe K, the contract ensures that all current staff are TUPE transferred into ASG.

    ASG was awarded the contract for Lakeside in Doncaster following a competitive tender evaluation and a team of 18 will deliver cleaning, security and maintenance for the centre which receives up to 2m visitors per year. The contract has been awarded by Realm UK Ltd.

    “We are delighted to have added three new and significant sites to our portfolio representing a combined value of circa £1m per annum,” comments Nick Atkinson, managing director, Aston Services Group.  “We look forward to working in partnership with the centre managers to enhance visitor experience and encourage business growth.”
