    Pizza Express takes a second slice at Cribbs

    Cribbs Mall has announced that Pizza Express has signed a 15-year lease to occupy a 3,675sq ft unit at the forefront of the food court.

    Pizza Express will move into the former Café Rouge location adding to Cribbs’ diverse F&B offering which includes Nandos, Slim Chickens, Chopstix, Burger King and Patisserie Valerie. This will be Pizza Express’ second location at Cribbs Causeway joining its restaurant at Cribbs Venue, highlighting the strong performance it is experiencing among visitors to the area. 

    In its 60th year, Pizza Express has expanded to over 360 locations across the UK since opening its first pizzeria in London in 1965.

    The arrival of Pizza Express follows Yo Sushi’s lease renewal at Cribbs last year. Meanwhile, Burger King and KFC have recently completed upgrades to their spaces at Cribbs Venue to enhance the customer experience. 

    Footfall and sales at the centre continue to rise. Across the past quarter footfall increased by 10% while sales rose 8% surpassing industry benchmarks. Alongside a strong variety of retailers and leisure operators, Cribbs’ prime location means it draws in shoppers from across the West Country, South West, South Wales and West Midlands, giving it the second highest catchment market share among regional malls nationally.

    Iain Minto, senior director, asset management, at Sovereign Centros by CBRE, said: “Established restaurant operators are eager to benefit from our affluent catchment area and this letting to Pizza Express is a prime example of that demand. 

    “We are also pleased to see popular brands such as Yo Sushi, Burger King and KFC invest in their spaces, highlighting the confidence they have in Cribbs. We look forward to working with our F&B occupiers as we create an environment that ensures they thrive, whilst looking to secure new arrivals maintaining our place as one of the South West’s premier visitor attractions.”

    Sovereign Centros by CBRE provide full asset management services across Cribbs on behalf of M&G Real Estate, while Time Retail Partners and Cushman & Wakefield are retained letting agents for the centre, with Green & Partners retained as leasing advisory.
