The Revo Educational Trust, in partnership with Solent University, has announced the opening of applications for its acclaimed Diploma in Retail and Leisure Place Management, responding to demand for skilled professionals in the evolving retail and leisure sector.

Now in its sixth year, the programme is offering 50% funding for select applicants, with the next cohort starting on June 5, 2025.

As the retail and leisure landscape undergoes rapid transformation – blurring the lines between shopping, dining and entertainment – the Revo Diploma equips professionals with the latest skills to manage and revitalise mixed-use destinations. The part-time, online Level 4 course (120 credits) is designed for working professionals seeking flexible, practical training.

Michelle Merry, programme manager at Solent University, said: “Our graduates are shaping the future of retail and leisure destinations across the UK. This diploma gives them the confidence and expertise to lead during times of unprecedented change.”

Daniel Errington-Barnes, customer experience manager at Eldon Square, said: “I applied for the course to further my knowledge in leisure and placemaking to aid my career progression. This course is ideal for anyone in a centre management role who is looking for their next steps. You meet industry leaders, fellow centre management professionals which was very insightful and I’ve made some great new friends alongside understanding the finer details of our industry.”

    Key features:

    • Industry-relevant curriculum: modules include property law, data governance, health & safety, marketing and financial management.

    • Expert-led learning: delivered by sector leaders and academics.

    • Flexible online format: designed for busy professionals.

    • Career impact: alumni have advanced to senior roles in centre management and asset development.
