This festive season, Eden in High Wycombe, is shining a spotlight on the everyday heroes in the local community with the launch of its 12 Stars of Eden initiative. From those who lend a helping hand, to individuals who go above and beyond to make their communities brighter, Eden wants to celebrate the people who make a real difference in the lives of those around them.
Community members are invited to put forward someone they believe deserves recognition for their outstanding contributions. Entries can be submitted online via Eden’s website, where participants are asked to share the nominee’s name, role and why they should be celebrated.
All submissions will be reviewed by Tony Parrott, deputy centre manager at Eden, and a representative from Heart of Bucks, Eden’s charity partner. Heart of Bucks is the community foundation for Buckinghamshire, dedicated to supporting local people and projects through grant funding and charitable giving to create positive, lasting change across the county.
From those nominated 12 heroes will be selected as the 12 Stars of Eden, with each receiving a gift from Eden, such as a retailer voucher of their choice, as a token of appreciation for their kindness and impact.
Tony Parrott said “During the festive season, it’s important to recognise the people who quietly make a huge difference every day. With the 12 Stars of Eden, we’re giving our community a chance to say thank you and share their stories with the wider public.”
Nominations are open until the end of November. They can be submitted through the Eden website: https://www.edenshopping.co.uk/news/12-stars-of-eden-celebrating-local-heroes/
