Triple B has announced a £5m refurbishment plan for OMNi, a leisure and entertainment destination situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre.

The International Investment Group acquired OMNi in April 2024 as part of an expansion plan to diversify its portfolio of real estate investments across key European markets. This latest announcement is said to demonstrate Triple B’s commitment to enhancing communities and promoting positive experiences through transformative real estate projects.

The centre refurbishment, which will coincide with multiple tenant refurbishments later this year, will kick-start OMNI’s evolution, which strategically aims to build on the destination’s established reputation and offering.

The project will prioritise the customer journey and physical space experience. Works

will include reconfiguration of internal vertical circulation, improved ground and first floor site lines, mall walkway upgrade, seating zones and external entrance enhancements. The refurbishment programme is set to start this month and is expected to be completed later this year.

Thomas Archer Bata, director at Triple B, said: “Triple B is committed to investing in OMNi to enhance the wider community and support the brands within. This refurbishment marks the start of a brand-new phase for OMNi; the physical enhancements, coupled with a new mission to integrate and connect further into the vibrant city of Edinburgh, will deliver a greatly improved and welcoming space for our visitors, whilst enhancing the overall customer experience.”

Martin Botha, OMNi’s centre manager, said: “The improvement project reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our visitors and a bustling environment for our brands.

This transformation will bring exciting new features, modern amenities, and brand revamp, creating a space that exceeds the expectations of the 4million-plus visitors welcomed each year.”

The centre refurbishment coincides with brand-led refurbishments, with more news on this soon. OMNi and its brands will remain open and fully accessible throughout the refurbishment project.
