On Monday July 10, Thistles shopping centre in Stirling will officially open its free-to-play summer fairground, filled with retro games for the whole family to enjoy. Open each day until Sunday August 6, between 12pm and 4pm, keen gamers of all ages can try their hand at a variety of activities, such as hook a duck, hoopla, tin can alley plus retro arcade machines.

The summer arcade is just one part of Thistles summer holiday offerings. The Thistles Wolf Pack kids’ club is offering youngsters the chance to create their very own playdoh from scratch using organic planet-friendly materials. Free to sign up to via the Thistles website, members of the Wolf Pack can take part in the craft event on Sunday July 30, running from 12-4pm.

Gary Turnbull, centre director at Thistles, said “We know how important it is for the local community to have fun activities for families of all ages to enjoy, and, for those looking for some summer holiday fun on a budget, we are delighted to be offering our visitors the chance to get involved with our free Summer Arcade.

“We have no doubt that younger visitors to Thistles will enjoy taking part in our game selection, but we are looking forward to inviting some of our older shoppers to relive some of those childhood memories and try their hand again at some of our retro games.”
