Trafford Centre has announced that Korean street food brand, Bunsik, is set to arrive at the centre in The Orient. The new location, opening in June, will enhance Trafford Centre’s diverse food and beverage lineup.
Other recent high-profile openings include Joe & The Juice, along with Jerk Junction, part of Trafford Centre’s Eastern Gardens which, opened in 2025.
The venue will serve Bunsik’s signature Korean menu favourites and viral items, including Korean corn dogs, tteokbokki, fried chicken and kimbap, providing guests with a new culinary experience.
The new opening adds to the strong F&B offering at the centre, with this category being the second fastest growing. Trafford Centre has seen a YoY sales increase of 9.8%, as of October 2025, due to the successes of brands and strong footfall through key F&B spaces including Eastern Gardens and The Orient, the largest food court within a shopping centre in Europe.
Kitty Vaughan, head of UK F&B and leisure at Pradera Lateral, Trafford Centre’s asset managers, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Bunsik to Trafford Centre later this spring. The brand adds new and further depth to our offering, supporting our position as a leading venue for retail, leisure and dining. There continues to be strong demand from innovative operators looking to secure space at Trafford Centre, and Bunsik’s arrival is another positive example of this.”
Jae Cho, founder of Bunsik, said: “We have been truly overwhelmed by the incredible love and support Manchester has shown us since we opened at Piccadilly Gardens. Seeing so many people enjoy our food every day gave us the confidence to believe that Bunsik could truly become a nationwide brand. It confirmed that the UK’s love for Korean street food is even stronger than we imagined.
With that same energy and confidence, we are now thrilled to bring Bunsik to the iconic Trafford Centre. We hope our new home becomes just as beloved a spot for everyone in Manchester and the surrounding areas. We can’t wait to welcome you all very soon!”
