Bakery and café concept, GAIL’s, has opened on Elephant Park’s casual dining zone on Sayer Street.

GAIL’s has a prominent 1,740sq ft unit on the corner of Sayer Street and Deacon Street, which was formerly occupied by Bobo Social.

GAIL’s joins the Sayer Street dining hub, book-ending the high street with the recently opened Asian street food restaurant and bar, NOKO. Sayer Street is home to an eclectic mix of independent brands, including Filipino operator, Filishack, Pan Asian outlet Pot & Rice, Koi Ramen, Tasty Jerk, and Miko’s Ecuadorian and Spanish Kitchen.

Guy Thomas, head of retail and place assets at Lendlease, commented: “Our leasing strategy for Elephant Park is to ensure that the needs and wants of our community are always met and reflected in the tenant mix. To evolve this already thriving London neighbourhood, we take great care when choosing the blend of operators to ensure we  can achieve  that aim and also  bring something new that perflectly complements our line-up of dynamic local businesses. GAIL’s is a great fit for the high street environment we have created at Elephant Park.”

The announcement follows the news that Venezuelan all-day eatery Arepa & Co has signed for its latest site on Ash Avenue, and is set to expand the rich variety of cuisines available within the heart of Elephant Park.

Savills, CF Commercial, and Shelley Sandzer represented Lendlease.
