Peel Retail & Leisure has announced that Pret a Manger is set to make its city debut at Gloucester Quays, as will Krispy Kreme. The globally renowned brands will be joined by Subway, with all three due to open in the coming weeks.

Opening on High Orchard Street in a 1,841sq ft unit with room to seat 85 customers, the new Pret a Manger will serve a menu of freshly-made food and organic coffee to customers in Gloucester for the very first time.

Joining Pret a Manger on High Orchard Street will be Subway, which is set to open near The Real Greek and Bill’s in a 603sq ft unit. Adding to Gloucester Quays’ grab-and-go offer, the popular chain will offer its famed made-to-order sandwiches. The outlet is also set to welcome a new kiosk from Krispy Kreme, bringing its range of hand-crafted doughnuts to the city for the first time in a dedicated space.

Paul Carter, asset director at Peel Retail & Leisure, comments: “In Gloucester Quays’ unique crossover position as both outlet and de facto city centre, the importance of having a quality grab-and-go offer is not to be underestimated. Having these three global F&B brands commit to the destination points to that, particularly how we can cater to breakfast, lunch, and dinner audiences, whether they’re here for a retail-dominated experience or because they work or live locally. Pret, Subway and Krispy Kreme will all bring something different to the outlet, and their arrival is further evidence of our 15-year-long dedication to meeting the needs of our loyal and diverse catchment.”

The trio of F&B signings follows a successful Summer Food Festival at Gloucester Quays, which welcomed over 150 stalls from local operators, uplifting footfall at the outlet by 37% week-on-week, and seeing a 4.5% boost to total sales.
