Shaftesbury Capital has announced the opening of The EL&N Deli & Bakery, a new concept from the globally renowned café, EL&N. Located in Covent Garden’s heritage-listed Market Building, the launch marks the creation of EL&N’s first-ever sub-brand.

Situated on Covent Garden’s historic pedestrianised Piazza with a footprint of 650sq ft, The EL&N Deli & Bakery offers seating for diners inside as well as over 50 covers on the al fresco terrace. The venue features EL&N’s signature brunch classics such as Smashed Avocado & Egg Focaccia, Brown Sugar & Sesame Pancake, and Burrata & Truffle Croissant. These are served alongside a range of new menu items, including freshly prepared, artisanal bakery products such as folded pizzas, mini pizzettas, and 72-hour focaccia that has been finished in the pizza oven and topped with fresh Italian produce. The debut concept also features a menu of Special Iced Matcha Lattes, a selection of luxurious speciality teas, and an assortment of cakes available by the slice.

The EL&N Deli & Bakery complements Covent Garden’s established line-up of innovative, like-minded high-quality F&B concepts, including Chestnut Bakery, The Petersham Wine Bar & Deli, ST JOHN Bakery and WatchHouse Coffee. The opening follows the announcement that Ladurée, the luxury French pâtisserie brand, has recently opened a new space for tea and haute cuisine above its flagship store in Covent Garden’s Market Building.
