Slim Chickens has opened at Merry Hill, in a prime location near one of the food court entrances to the centre.

Spanning 5,229sq ft, the two-floor restaurant features Slim Chickens’ signature red and black décor, seating for 160 guests and a menu packed with Southern flavours. The site is the first of three new Slim Chickens restaurants launching this month as part of the group’s expansion.

Nick Round, senior asset manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, on behalf of Merry Hill, commented: “The opening of Slim Chickens’ underscores Merry Hill’s ongoing investment in its F&B options, complementing the vibrant line-up in the recently transformed leisure quarter. The popular operator adds further diversity to our roster of quick-service dining choices, meeting ever-growing consumer demand and solidifying the centre’s position as the West Midlands go-to for best-in-class F&B.”

Ben Blore, head of operations at Slim Chickens, said: “We’re incredibly excited to have opened at Merry Hill – it’s a buzzing location with a loyal shopper base and strong family footfall. We’re looking forward to bringing our famous Southern hospitality, cooked-to-order chicken, and feel-good food to the heart of the centre.”

The opening follows the recent announcement that Cotswold Outdoor, the outdoor recreation retailer, has signed for a new triple-fascia store at the top UK super regional centre, with sister brands Runners Need and Snow + Rock.
