SGS UK Retail has announced that Snowflake Gelato has celebrated its Scottish debut, opening at Braehead Shopping Centre.

The expansion marks Snowflake Gelato’s next step in its national growth plan, with a permanent 270sqft kiosk now open, located on the upper mall alongside Swarovski, Goldsmiths and Lovisa. Customers can enjoy 16 award-winning gelato flavours as well as the company’s own blend of Italian roasted coffee, hot chocolate, freshly made crepes and waffles.

Huw Kmiot, associate director of asset management at Pradera Lateral, commented: “The arrival of another highly anticipated Scottish debut at Braehead cements our reputation as the first-choice destination in Scotland. Snowflake Gelato’s arrival underscores the destination’s reputation as a place that delivers strong trading performance and responds to the consumer demand for premium F&B offers.”

Tim Field at Snowflake Gelato said: “The opening of our first Scottish kiosk is an exciting milestone for Snowflake Gelato. Braehead is the perfect location to connect with a new audience and strengthen our brand presence in Scotland, and it’s been great to see so many shoppers enjoying our award-winning gelato already.”

The opening of Snowflake Gelato follows the news that global leisure brand SuperPark will make its UK debut at Braehead Shopping Centre in a 30,000sqft space early next year, adding a significant new experience-led anchor to further diversify the centre’s offer and appeal to customers. SuperPark will offer 40 attractions including adventure challenges, sporting games and freestyle activities.

Braehead is asset managed by Pradera Lateral, and its leasing agents are Lunson Mitchenall and Savills.
