Redical, the real estate owner and operator of The Liberty Romford, has announced that Gootopia, the UK’s leading slime-making attraction, has officially opened its doors at the centre.

Gootopia Romford showcases the brand’s award-winning experiential slime workshops and products. Launching with its popular Butter Slime Workshop, the space offers a range of experiences for all ages and abilities, including birthday parties, themed seasonal workshops, SEN-friendly workshops, Slime & Wine and more.

Over the last five years, Gootopia has grown with locations in London, the South East, and international franchises and is now officially recognised as one of the world’s favourite attractions by the 2025 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Annabel Anderson, leasing administrator at Redical ,said: “We are growing our family-friendly offering at The Liberty Romford, with visitors able to enjoy a variety of experiences at our destination. Whether it is experiencing a multi-sensory slime workshop at Gootopia, a creative and engaging session at Kids Play Village, or visiting stores MINISO and The Works, we have something for all at the heart of the town centre.”

Chris Saville, co-founder of Gootopia, said: “Romford is such an exciting step for us as it’s somewhere we’ve had huge demand from for years, and  The Liberty Romford is the ideal location for families to combine shopping, dining, and slime-making. We can’t wait to welcome our first Romford slime-makers!”

The announcement follows the news that children’s play space, Kids Play Village, is set to launch its second, and largest location, at The Liberty Romford in October.
