    eBay puts Listings in Lights

eBay has launched Listings in Lights, an immersive display in the heart of London that promotes private selling and lets people shop pre-loved items from eBay sellers across the UK.

Listings in Lights follows the recent removal of selling fees for private sellers in the UK, making it free to sell across all categories except for motors. With research showing that more than half (55%) of people want to make a bit of extra cash in time for the festive season, and two in three (66%) stating they have items at home they want to sell, Listings in Lights is said to make it easy for people to sell the items they no longer need and fund their Christmas budget. With an estimated 294 million unused items in UK homes, this could unlock £9bn in resale income,.

Taking place at Outernet at Tottenham Court Road on November 8 and 9 the experience will bring pre-loved inventory from sellers across the UK together, in a live shoppable light installation. Guests at the Outernet will be able to scan QR codes to shop products on eBay. To be in with the chance to have their products included, all sellers need to do is include the hashtag #ListingsInLights in the title of their listing to see their items in lights on one of London’s busiest high streets.

Sellers need to include the hashtag #ListingsInLights in their listing titles and have them online between November 2-6.

On the November 8 and 9, shoppers are invited to browse and buy from 11a -8:30pm on Friday 8th and 10am-8:30pm on Saturday 9th.
