Dobbies garden centre has welcomed national pet care provider, Carrick Vets, to its Chesterfield store.

The state-of-the-art veterinary practice, which boasts a large operating theatre and the latest digital x-ray facilities, has relocated from its previous site in Clowne. It has now opened its doors adjacent to Dobbies in Barlborough Links, Chesterfield.

The new practice says it will offer pet owners a quality range of services and facilities in a modern environment.

The service provided by Carrick Vets complements Dobbies’ existing dog-friendly approach and its range of pet products, as well as its dog-friendly restaurant.

Graeme Jenkins, Dobbies CEO, said: “At Dobbies, we are committed to working with companies that share our values. Carrick Vets’ offering complements our existing dog-friendly approach and wide range of pet products.

“As well as benefiting from Carrick Vets’ and Dobbies’ offerings at Chesterfield, customers will also be able to take advantage of The Muddy Paw dog groomers who are on site, making Chesterfield the ideal destination for local pet owners.”

Jessica Podmore, clinical director at Carrick, said: “The new site adjacent to Dobbies has all the space we need to help grow our practice, while still remaining in a central location for our clients. We now have an additional consulting room, separate dog and cat waiting areas, and hospital wards to keep stress to a minimum for our patients. We look forward to welcoming clients to our new practice.”
