Fried chicken and cocktail restaurant heads for Shoreditch

Fried chicken and cocktail restaurant, Chick ‘n’ Sours, is set to launch a new two-floor eatery at 14 Artillery Passage in Shoreditch, in November. The 1,200 sq ft site has been secured by Shelley Sandzer, on behalf of the brand.

The new opening, which is to be located between Liverpool Street Station and Spitalfields Market, will expand Chick ‘n’ Sours’ London portfolio to four sites following its initial site at Haggerston. The 50-cover Artillery Passage restaurant will be open seven days a week, and include a take-away hatch for the fast-dining crowd.

Etai Page, Leasing Agent at Shelley Sandzer, commented: “Chick ‘n’ Sours is an already strong brand in this part of London, and we combined our understanding of the market with their requirements to bring forward this prime site. The brand will no doubt capitalise on footfall from Spitalfields, Liverpool Street, and Shoreditch, and I have confidence they will make a huge success of this location.”

Carl Clarke and David Wolanski, founders of Chick ‘n’ Sours, added: “We are delighted to announce our forthcoming restaurant, excellently located for the Monday to Friday working crowd, as well as weekend visitors. It’s such a cosy little passage, steeped in rich history and in the beating heart of this wicked area. We have always wanted a take-away hatch where you can come and quickly get your Chick ‘n’ Sours fix, and are thankful to Shelley Sandzer for their expertise in finding a site where we could make this happen.”

Shelley Sandzer acted for Chick ’n’ Sours.
