Pan Asian buffet restaurant secures Liverpool, Glasgow and Dublin sites

Pan Asian buffet restaurant, Cosmo, represented by Savills, has secured three new sites, and is seeking a further five for 2020 as the restaurant chain looks to expand throughout the UK and Ireland.

Cosmo has secured its 20th site at Liverpool One, with a further two planned for Glasgow and Dublin later this year. The buffet chain has agreed a new 15 year lease for the 11,128 sq ft restaurant at the Liverpool shopping centre, which will become the brand’s first site in the city. In Glasgow, Cosmo will open in the new St Enoch Centre leisure quarter.

This year will mark the brand’s first new openings since 2017, when it launched in Hammerson’s West Quay Watermark development.

Carlene Hughes, leisure director at Savills, comments: “Consumer demand for Asian cuisine is at an all-time high, so, in spite of the headwinds within the wider F&B sector, Cosmo has been able to stand out from the crowd. With a continued demand for its excellent range of food and elevated buffet concept, Cosmo is well and truly weathering the storm and we look forward to working with the brand as it embarks on its growth plans for this year.”
