Dental Surgery opens at Kent’s Dockside Outlet

Next-generation dental surgery, Smil, has opened its doors at Dockside Outlet at Chatham Maritime, the outlet and lifestyle centre in Kent.

The new private practice, located on the upper floor of the 44-unit centre in a 3,098 sq ft unit, features state-of-the-art equipment including a scanner and ultramodern treatment rooms.

Smil staff include three dentists, two dental advisors, three nurses, a dental hygienist/therapist and as a London GP who specialises in skincare, botox and filler procedures designed to complement the dentistry.

The letting to a service provider follows on from a series of recent lettings to Beauty Outlet, The Fragrance Shop and Pad Thai Restaurant

Peter Everest of Dockside owners WD Ltd commented: ” Dockside’s evolution meets our ambition to ensure the centre offers great outlet shopping but is also community-relevant. Our service offer started when we used ancillary space to create the popular Dockside Day Nursery and Pre-School and continues with the new Smil dental practice.

“We are far more than just an outlet and we are also creating other unique centre offers which will, we believe, soon deliver additional community-destination dynamics.”

Dr Neil Underhill, one of the practice’s founders, commented: “Our aim is to reduce barriers to access to us and increase the opportunities for customers to feel at ease if they want to come in and talk about procedures and options. Smil is a new customer-connective way of delivering dental care via a location in a popular community setting — and that’s why it’s exciting to be at Dockside.”
