Former Revo CEO Ed Cooke has joined marketing and tech group Toolbox as global growth director. Cooke stepped down from the retail destinations trade body at the end of March and will join Toolbox on 5 May. He spent 11 years at Revo, the last four as CEO and oversaw its rebranding from the British Council of Shopping Centres.

In his new role he will lead the continued expansion of the technology and marketing company which already has a global footprint including the USA and mainland Europe. Founder Michelle Buxton said the company sees Asia as a potential growth area as it comes out of lockdown. Already, Toolbox’s Mallcomm comms package has been adopted by Hongkong Land.

Buxton said: “We are delighted Ed will be joining us to drive forward our expansion plans. We have the market-leading platform in Mallcomm and significant experience in placemaking with our marketing services proposition which ensures we will continue to grow, service and reach new markets globally. Ed brings to Toolbox Group and the global growth director role a razor-sharp focus and insight into the real estate industry.”

And Cooke added: “Mallcomm is a true Proptech pioneer and the opportunity to reach and develop new markets for the Mallcomm technology opens up an exciting new career chapter for me in what is a significant growth sector within the built environment”.
