Cribbs Mall is welcoming five new retailers following the signings of toy store The Entertainer, global fashion brand Mango, arts and crafts supplier The Works, fast-growing retailer Suit Direct and luxury beauty specialist Rituals.

The five retail brands will take a combined area of 13,607sq ft at the centre, while jeweller F.Hinds has committed its future to the centre with a lease extension. The announcements come off the back of over 30,000sq ft of new occupational deals over the last 12 months. This includes an expanded fashion offering with the arrival of Kurt Geiger, Carvela and Tommy Hilfiger. Meanwhile, the opening of H Beauty has grown the centre’s thriving beauty scene.

During this period Cribbs also welcomed luxury watch makers Bremont which has performed strongly alongside the centre’s range of jewellery and watch retailers. Growing retailers ProCook and Ribble Cycles have also used Cribbs to grow their physical retail presence, while the centre has strengthened its food and drink offer following leases with restaurant brands Slim Chickens and Itsu, helping to enhance Cribbs’ reputation as one of the leading retail and leisure destinations in the South West.

Occupying a 3,788sq ft unit on the upper level of Cribbs Mall on a 10-year lease, The Entertainer is the UK’s largest independent toy retailer with over 170 stores across the country.

Meanwhile, Spanish fashion brand Mango will be taking a 10-year lease on the 3,858sq ft former Gap unit (with a 2,104sq ft mezzanine) located in between the Apple and Sky stores towards the centre of Cribbs Mall.

With more than 500 stores across the UK and Ireland, The Works provides arts and crafts supplies, books, and stationery as well as toys and games for all the family. The move to Cribbs Mall is the latest in its ongoing expansion and will see it occupy a 2,366sq ft unit on a 10-year lease.

Suit Direct has signed a five-year lease for a 1,793 q ft unit while Rituals will occupy a 1,802sq ft unit on a 10-year lease. This will be Rituals first store in the West Country.

Alongside the new arrivals F.Hinds has committed its future to Cribbs Mall after signing a six-year lease renewal for its 1,449sq ft unit.

Simon Green, portfolio director at M&G Real Estate, said: “The arrival of five leading retailers, alongside F.Hinds’ renewal, perfectly captures the diverse range of occupiers we have at Cribbs Mall as each appeals to different types of shoppers. It is important to have secured these new signings ahead of what will be a busy period for the centre, ensuring we have a retail line-up which gives customers the widest choice possible.

“These new lettings demonstrate the strength of large regional retail and leisure centres in strategic, accessible locations. We are also excited to be part of the wider growth of the Cribbs Causeway area which will include thousands of new homes and a new arena at YTL’s Filton Airfield development, as well as the arrival of Bristol Zoo who will be moving to the nearby Wild Place Project. All of this will help to further strengthen footfall across Cribbs Causeway and continue to make it an attractive home for retailers.”

Time Retail Partners and Cushman & Wakefield are Cribbs Mall’s retained letting agents.
