The Meads Shopping Centre in Farnborough is set to welcome High Score Free-Play Arcade in the coming weeks.

According to a report from Hampshire Live, the ‘old school’ amusement facility will open its doors to visitors on Friday, July 23, finally giving guests the opportunity to try out the variety of games available to play, including classics titles such as Space Invaders, to ‘Shoot ’em up’ games such as Star Wars Battle Pod.

Guests entering will pay a £9.95 admission fee for 60 minutes play and will not need coins or tickets to play at each machine.

The Farnborough arcade will be the third facility opened by High Score, following openings in Southampton and Newbury.

Director Aaron Gilbey said: “It’s been a long, hard slog to get everything ready but I’m delighted with the results.

“It’s great to have our third site now – following those in Newbury and Southampton – all ready to go.

“We’ve got no gambling machines, there’s no over 18 content, it’s very much focused on the families and having them come in and enjoy an hour’s worth of arcade action.”
