    Grosvenor appoints first Director of Sustainability & Innovation

    Tor Burrows has been selected for new role

    In the first appointment by new CEO James Raynor, Tor Burrows has been selected as director of sustainability and innovation for Grosvenor Britain & Ireland.

    Grosvenor state that the new post is designed to galvanize its delivery of environmental goals for 2030 which will see the business become net carbon zero and zero waste by the end of the decade, while also contributing to a significant increase in biodiversity in its communities.

    Burrows will sit on the business’ Executive Committee and lead a team that combines the current sustainability and innovation functions.

    Her most recently held is the position of director of placemaking at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland. She has worked in the business for nearly a decade, including leading the asset management programme for the Mayfair estate and working as head of strategy for Grosvenor Britain & Ireland. She sits on the Good Growth Steering Committee of London’s West End Partnership and is part of the Westminster Property Association’s Senior Advisory Committee.

    James Raynor, CEO, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, said: “Climate change is the single biggest risk to our business today and we need to transform the way we do business to meet that challenge.  Tor understands Grosvenor exceptionally well, having worked in different roles across the estate for nearly ten years. Her proven ability to lead change on the ground and get a host of different stakeholders bought in to a common goal will be crucial to us going zero-carbon, zero-waste and ensuring we are fit for the future. I am delighted to start my tenure as CEO with such a critical appointment.”
