Commercial real estate consultants, Lambert Smith Hampton, has confirmed that Aldi is set to open a new 19,000 sq ft store at Hamilton’s Palace Grounds Retail Park later this year. The store will be the chain’s newest store in Scotland and offers shoppers a range of discount grocery brands.

Discount store Home Bargains is also set to arrive to the retail park in early 2022 with a new 20,000 sq ft space.

Ryan Kee, retail agency director at Lambert Smith Hampton commented: “We are delighted to confirm that both Aldi and Home Bargains will join the retail offering at Palace Grounds Retail Park over the next few months. Palace Grounds is a well-known and much loved retail park within the wider community and so we look forward to welcoming these two new stores very soon.”

Mike Spens, out of town retail director at Savills said: “Palace Grounds Retail Park’s strategic location beside the M74 has been one the hallmarks of its success with a strong retail and hospitality offer that has been welcoming shoppers to its doors for more than twenty years. The arrival of both Aldi and Home Bargains in the coming months will further complement and enhance the shopping and leisure experience of the Park.”
