CBRE Global Investors has announced the signing of leading health and wellbeing brand, Holland & Barrett, at Angel Central, Islington.

The wellness retailer Holland & Barrett will be relocating from their previous Angel store, opening an upsized 1,389 sq ft shop at 21-22 Upper Street, this December.

Commenting on the signing, Ciara Daffy, asset manager at CBRE Global Investors, said: “Holland & Barrett is one of the biggest health and wellness brands in Europe, and it is testament to the pulling power of Angel Central that we have been able to relocate and upsize them in Islington. Angel Central’s £16m investment works are very nearly complete – as lockdown is lifted we will be able to fully unveil the new-look destination, and to add Holland & Barrett now makes this a very exciting time for our community.”

Antony Houghton, group retail and property director at Holland & Barrett, added: “At a time when health and wellness is more important to our customers than ever, we are really pleased to be opening a bigger store and expanding our offer to the community in this vibrant local hub. Angel Central is a retail destination known for its local community and our new home on Upper Street will give the huge Islington catchment of office workers and residents even better access to health and wellness expertise on their doorstep.”

CBRE and CWM acted for Angel Central. Prime Retail represented Holland & Barrett.
