Jo Malone heads to Metrocentre Gateshead

Luxury brand, Jo Malone London, has announced that it is heading to Metrocentre Gateshead this winter, opening the region’s first standalone store off the back of a successful pop-up at the centre last Christmas.

Work is expected to commence this month with the new 1,000sq ft unit set to be located in the lower Red Mall alongside brands such as Carvela, Tag Heuer and BOSS, ensuring the store is in good company to offer shoppers the very best in quality British retail.

Jo Malone London previously popped up at the centre over the festive period in 2021, giving customers in the region an exclusive chance to shop its extensive range of luxury products for the bath, body and home. The opening of the new store will be just in time for the Christmas gifting period.

Tom Nuttall of Sovereign Centros, leasing and asset manager for Metrocentre commented: “The centre has gone from strength to strength this year with several key high-profile lettings and Jo Malone London is another fantastic addition that will be hugely popular with customers.

“Jo Malone London is a name associated with British quality and values and we are excited for the standalone store to be one of our next openings at Metrocentre, as we continue to celebrate and support the great British high street. Metrocentre is a unique destination with a fantastic mix of premium brands and high street favourites, and we look forward to strengthening this offer and announcing more new names in the coming months.”

Jo Malone London is joined by a string of recent openings including the region’s only H&M Home and luxury beauty emporium, H Beauty from Harrods, which opened earlier this summer.
