National pet retailer, Just for Pets, has secured an additional two new stores in the West Midlands as part of its UK expansion drive.

In Stafford, the retailer recently opened its biggest space to date, a 10,000 sq ft store on Kingsmead Retail Park on the north-eastern edge of Stafford town centre.

In Worcestershire, the retailer has secured Unit 4 on Evesham Shopping Park. The 5,410 sq ft ground floor and mezzanine space immediately adjoins Marks & Spencer.

As part of its carefully planned expansion strategy, Just for Pets enlisted national property consultancy, Carter Jonas, to hunt for more stores. The pet chain now has 19 branches and aims to open a further six by the end of 2022.

Carter Jonas’ commercial property team has said it is searching for suitable retail units of 2,500- 6,500 sq ft – although larger units will be considered.

Stuart Williams, partner, commercial, Carter Jonas said, “Just for Pets is on a remarkable journey, and we are proud to be playing a role supporting its ongoing expansion.

” Its clear vision and targeted growth strategy, putting customers front and centre, has enabled it to secure sites at key locations with a dedicated team focused on building community links and brand loyalty. This approach, which has re-energised the retail proposition, continues to gather momentum and is particularly appealing to landlords.”
