Mercedes-Benz Vans opens first pop-up store with intu

Mercedes-Benz Vans has signed up with intu to launch its first pop-up store at intu Trafford Centre as the vehicle manufacturer aims to target the high proportion of affluent shoppers visiting the centre.

Open until 18 March, the Mercedes-Benz Vans pop-up store showcases the latest range of premium vans including the new X-Class – the first pickup truck from a high-end car retailer. Customers visiting the pop-up store at intu Trafford Centre will be able to explore different models through an interactive touchscreen and will have the chance to experience the thrill of the waves through a virtual reality surf simulator. All models from the range can also be test-driven in the car park at intu Trafford Centre.

Roger Binks, customer experience director for intu, said: “Mercedes-Benz Vans is the latest vehicle manufacturer to embrace the pop-up store phenomenon, giving customers a more immersive experience where they can explore the range of models on offer. Adding something different to the retail mix at intu Trafford Centre ensures our customers receive a compelling experience, making them feel happier than when they walked through the door and ultimately helping all our retailers to flourish.”
