London property investment company, LabTech, has announced the signing of 9 independent retail brands, covering over 5,000 sq ft at the soon to launch Hawley Wharf Camden.

Cult skatewear brand, Scum, leads the raft of new retail signings, with a circa 800 sq ft store fronting onto Chalk Farm Road. It will stock the brand’s full range of apparel, skateboards, and accessories, and will be looking to have limited edition drops that will be unique to this store. The Hawley Wharf Camden store will be their flagship site, following their debut store in Chelmsford, and the recently launched unit in Covent Garden.

Joining them at Hawley Wharf Camden will be 100% natural, vegan, and organic skincare brand, SknFed, with the new site marking their bricks and mortar debut, following phenomenal online and trade show success. Sitting alongside will be well-known men’s and women’s luxury streetwear brand Marbek, who will be working in collaboration with exclusive footwear specialist Mr Sneaker. Menswear and homeware brand, Article, will also be opening with lines from the likes of Patagonia, Folk, Carhartt-WIP, and Universal Works, as well womenswear boutique Sugar + Style, adding independent, fashion-led flair to the emerging development.

Included in the recent signings is natural fabric clothing and accessories specialists, Manomay, who have built up a reputation from their current trading position in Camden’s Stables Market, selling their superfine 2-ply cashmere scarfs, amongst other textile items.

Koko Art will also be joining the scheme. The brand – which has previously collaborated with Jimmy Choo and Selfridges – is home to vibrant and bespoke painted shoe professionals, who founded their company in Camden Town in 2010.

Finally, bespoke children’s fashion brand Josiah Amari will be expanding into a railway arch, with a custom boutique, that will allow for while-u-wait tailoring and personalisation.

Commenting on the signings, Jonny Perkins, retail asset manager at LabTech said: “Our vision for Hawley Wharf Camden is to create a complete eco-system where Londoners and visitors from near and afar can come to work, live and play. The retail offer among our estates across Camden has always been unique and different, so it is our duty to the London community to ensure a dynamic retail mix for Hawley Wharf which creates a whole new destination in Camden. This selection of retailers does exactly that for Hawley Wharf Camden.”

Colliers and CBRE represent Hawley Wharf Camden.
