A new pop-up opportunity is coming to Newcastle City Centre. The Eldon Square Pop Up Shop aims to become a platform for emerging independent businesses to test the high street for as little as one week. The initiative also hopes to promote local brands.

The initiative has been designed with independent businesses in mind and is available to rent at a simple all-inclusive price that covers rent, utilities, business rates, service charge and social media promotion. The concept focuses on making joining the high street as simple as possible.

Asset manager, Chloe Prince from APAM, commented: “The Pop Up Shop is a great opportunity for new and local retailers to trial a fantastic centre. We are looking forward to seeing new amenities in the centre which will further widen the consumer space and continue to provide a diverse and exciting offering at Eldon Square.”

Naomi Osborne acting marketing manager at Eldon Square added: “We are always looking for new ways to ensure that Eldon Square is a place for retailers at all stages of their journeys and the Pop Up Shop, in partnership with Barker Proudlove, is something a little bit different. Shoppers will have the chance to experience something that they’ve not seen in the centre before and gain exposure to an array of exciting, growing retailers, many from the local area”.
