Castle Quarter in Norwich city centre has announced the opening of a 15,000 sq ft indoor mini-golf and dining concept Putt Putt Noodle, taking the space previously occupied by New Look.

Putt Putt Noodle is an Asian inspired mini golf operator and owned by the same franchisee that operates Boom Battle Bar, offering three nine-hole crazy golf courses all designed to immerse players in faraway lands.

The three courses use latest technology to introduce sounds, smells, water, and even temperature zones to transport competitive groups to the Great Wall of China, a Cambodian bamboo jungle, and a cherry blossom spa.

David Moore, owner of Putt Putt Noodle, said: “The Asian themes that we’ve taken inspiration from are designed to create a world of fantasy, encouraging players to leave their worries and preconceptions at the door and focus on having fun with friends and family.”

Mark Harvey, executive director and head of asset management at RivingtonHark the asset managers of Castle Quarter said: “We are delighted to welcome yet another great leisure activity to Castle Quarter. Despite the complications of the pandemic we have been able to secure a number of new tenants to complement the retail offer and make the scheme the No.1 mixed use retail and family entertainment place in the region.”

Agents for the deal were Jamieson Mills and Roche.
