RD Live 2024: what a success!

RD Live 2024 took place earlier this week at a stunning new venue: Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, home to the Lancashire Cricket Team. Its new location meant we were able to welcome far more delegates to the conference, many of whom stayed on for the Gala dinner.

A real highlight of the event was the talk by Figen Murphy, campaigner for Martyn’s Law legislation, which is named after her son Martyn Hett, who was killed in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack in 2017. Full details of her presentation will feature in next week’s edition of Retail Destination.

The day was jam-packed with presentations and panel sessions covering Trends, Challenges and Opportunities, Safety and Security, and Evolution and AI. There was also a very busy exhibition which delegates could attend throughout the day.

Once again our lead sponsor was Retail Advantage – ART Software Group. The company’s director Gareth Jordan said: “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership and support for RD Live, which has become an important industry event, helping people to discover, connect and celebrate the retail destination community.

“It was a pleasure to chair the innovation and evolution panel session where the speakers provided some genuine insight and a view of how retail destinations have changed and continue to do so.

“The energy of the conference itself is great, there is so much to absorb which sparks important debate and learnings for the industry’s pressing topics and trends.”
