Intu has appointed international Savills as joint retail and leisure leasing agent at intu Braehead

The instruction spans over 1.5 million sq ft of retail, catering and leisure space with an annual footfall of 17m. intu Braehead is anchored by M&S, H&M, Next and Primark and has over 100 retailers, including Apple, and a very strong food and beverage provision. And the Soar leisure scheme at intu Braehead has recently benefited from a significant refurbishment. It is occupied by Snow Factor, Tenpin and an Odeon IMAX cinema, alongside various F&B and retail operators. The intu Braehead retail park sits next to the transport interchange and houses retailers including Next Home, PC World, David’s Bridal and Halfords.

Stuart Moncur, head of national retail at Savills, said: “intu Braehead is arguably Scotland’s leading out of town retail and leisure destination providing a rich mix of national retailers and F&B operators. We are delighted to be appointed by intu and look forward to working with them to build on the already strong offer and position the schemes in a way that is relevant to today’s customer, and that leads by example against a changing retail landscape.”

Savills has been appointed jointly with Lunson Mitchenall.
