Marketing and Communication specialist, Shoppertainment, recently took inspiration from the life and work of Captain Sir Thomas Moore and created a giant mural in his hometown of Bedford.

he installation was launched in October 2020 at Harpur Shopping Centre celebrating the WW2 veteran and national hero whilst also paying tribute to the NHS and key workers in the Bedford area.

Speaking following the death of Captain Sir Thomas Moore, Shoppertainment said: “Working across the UK during the pandemic in town centres and shopping destinations has shown us the true grit of the British people; their ability to come together and celebrate the positive.

“We’ve created work for our clients that not only recognises national heroes; but that also creates clear visual strategies enabling shoppers to move safely through the retail environment.

“Captain Sir Thomas Moore, is a wonderful example of the power of humans to turn a tough situation into something amazing. He has been celebrated across the world for his outstanding fundraising and became an inspiration to people across the globe.

“We are delighted to have had the privilege to design a piece of art that will remember Sir Tom forever. More recently, the Prime Minister led the nation in a clap in remembrance and the Centre Management team and local workers used the Mural as a place to clap and commemorate.”
