St James’s Market welcomes Cubitt House and Snow Peak

The Crown Estate and Oxford Properties have signed Snow Peak, the Japanese outdoors and lifestyle brand, and the independent public house group Cubitt House at St James’s.

Snow Peak will establish its first UK outlet with a 4,300-sq ft flagship store on Regent Street St James’s to showcase its Japanese camping equipment, gear and clothing.

The Beau Brummell, a new gastropub from central London operator Cubitt House, will sit in the central courtyard of St James’s Market with an outdoor terrace and two floors of seating and dining.

St James’s Market, a joint venture between The Crown Estate and Oxford Properties, is the one-of-a-kind shopping and dining district situated between Regent Street St James’s and Haymarket. Flagship retail from Aspinal of London, SMEG, Paul & Shark, ASSOS and Jigsaw St James’s Emporium sit alongside bespoke restaurant concepts from Michelin awarded Aquavit and Ikoyi, eponymous restaurant Scully St James’s, Duck & Waffle Local, ‘O ver and casual coffee venues Ole & Steen and Urban Tea Rooms.

Oliver Smith, head of St James’s at the Crown Estate, said: “The addition of Snow Peak and Beau Brummell will further enhance the reputation of St James’s Market, and ensure we are a destination which is known for offering experiences which cannot be found anywhere else in London.”
