CBRE Global Investors’ central London asset, Angel Central, unveiled its Summer Fête last week, welcoming a line-up of family-friendly performances and activations for all ages.

The event was designed to celebrate the completion of the £16m refurbishment across four days, with a focus on activities for the Islington community.

Across the long weekend, Angel Central added to its alfresco dining space and introduced space for new sustainable initiatives. Angel Central’s Green Market featured a selection of sustainable London-based crafters, and the Local Honey Man’s head beekeeper was on site to educate children on how to protect the UK’s bee population.

The Summer Fête line-up also included free entertainment all weekend, with an eclectic mix of artists playing Live on the Lawn. Other activities included exclusive evening shows at the Angel Comedy Club, early morning yoga and outdoor fitness classes hosted by Frame plus for families; free children’s workshops at the Little Angels Club.

Commenting on the event, Ciara Daffy, asset manager at CBRE Global Investors, said: “We wanted to host an event to welcome guests back to Angel Central, and celebrate the destination’s new look. Our position in the heart of Islington means Angel Central is a go-to place for families looking for a ‘daycation’ in the summer holidays, and the Fête offered a unique hive of activity over the weekend. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the entertainment and engaging in the activities, and the team did a wonderful job creating such an inviting atmosphere.”
