Sovereign Centros has announced some new signings at Glasgow’s St Enoch Centre with new brands and existing tenants committing to longer term leases at the scheme.

TJ Hughes and Boom Battle Bar are the latest new signings at the Centre with toy store, Hamleys, who first arrived in St Enoch in 2009, committing to a further 10 years and relocating to a new 7,500 sq ft ground floor unit this Summer.

Discount department store TJ Hughes is relocating from Trongate and will be opening a new 36,000 sq ft ground floor store on a 15-year lease.

Boom Battle Bar has signed a 10-year lease on a 10,000 sq ft unit on the upper mall, adjacent to the Vue Cinema, marking the brand’s first venture into Scotland. It currently has nine sites across England and Wales and offers a mix of axe throwing, Crazier Golf, Boules, Electric Darts, Shuffleboard, Skee Ball, Pool, Curling, Marble Tarble and Boom Ball. The entertainment venue will also include a street food concept.

Matt Elgey of Sovereign Centros, asset and development manager for St.Enoch’s, commented: “We are delighted to announce these long term deals with a range of emerging and established brands which is a strong endorsement of St. Enoch’s as the major retail and leisure destination within Glasgow and the wider region.”

“The retail and leisure market has seen what we have been creating within the Centre and is keen to be part of it. It’s exciting to be part of something new and different.”
