    Toytown docks at Princes Quay

Independent toy retailer joins Princes Quay in Hull

One of the UK’s largest independent toy retailers, Toytown, has opened its 27th store at Princes Quay, Hull. The store has added to the shopping centre’s family friendly retail and leisure offering following a £20m investment in 2017, which saw the opening of an outlet level bringing high street and outlet shopping together in a move that has seen footfall increase by 12%.

Toytown now occupies a 6,000 sq ft space in a prime location on Level 2 of the centre, together with its Babyworld offer alongside a host of well-known toy brands.

Centre manager John Magee said: “Welcoming a major retailer such as Toytown is great news for the centre as we position ourselves as a family friendly retail destination. Along with high-street and outlet shops, we have Vue Cinema, a 12-lane bowling alley, soft play, Quasar facilities and delicious eateries, so families really can enjoy a fantastic day out.”

The opening follows a series of new stores joining Princes Quay with new stores including Skechers, Wallpaper-it and Browline, along with significant investment across the centre.

The scheme is managed by Realm on behalf of Seven Dials.
