Winter Wonderland returns to London's West End

Winter Wonderland is returning to London’s West End Kay Buxton, chief executive of Marble Arch London BID has confirmed.

“We are delighted that Winter Wonderland is back this year as it provides a massive lift for our hotel and hospitality members, thanks to the thousands of visitors this festive event attracts each year to the West End,” said Buxton.

“Of the £165m this part of London contributes to the UK economy each year, £45m comes from our hotel members. There are over 22,000 hotel rooms across our district, and pre-Covid there were 1.1m annual tourist visits, generating £583m of turnover. Understandably the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly hit our hotel and hospitality members, which is why the return of events such as Winter Wonderland, and the thousands of visitors it attracts, is such a vital boost for our members.

“It is not only our hotel members who will benefit from the return of Winter Wonderland. Restaurants, pubs, clubs, nightclubs, bars and casinos which are located near Hyde Park will also see an increase in visitor numbers which will help revive both the day and night-time economies across the West End.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to Winter Wonderland over the Christmas period and we hope that they will take advantage of the fantastic hotels located in the area and enjoy the excellent mix of retail and hospitality that Marble Arch has to offer.”
