Real vs Fake success at Liverpool ONE

Grosvenor has reported a successful Liverpool ONE pop-up activation for Luxe Collective, the pre-loved luxury retailer. Marking the brand’s first activation in the North West, the immersive ‘Real vs. Fake’ fashion experience welcomed large crowds to partake in the engaging audience challenge and competition, as well as the rare opportunity to speak all things pre-loved luxury with the brand’s founders.

Located on Paradise Street, the Luxe Collective activation challenged members of the public to distinguish a real designer handbag from a counterfeit one, offering one discerning participant the chance to win an authentic Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM tote bag.

Co-founded by brothers Joe and Ben Gallagher in Liverpool in 2018, Luxe Collective has become one of the UK’s fastest growing names in the pre-loved luxury sector, and recently secured investment through BBC’s Dragon’s Den. Through carefully curated social media content and a meticulous authentication process, the brand allows consumers to buy and sell items directly to Luxe Collective and offers pre-loved designer apparel, including bags, accessories, and footwear.

Liverpool ONE has built a reputation for providing local and online-only brands with opportunities to trial their concepts within a bricks-and-mortar location. The destination allows brands to flourish through innovative pop-ups and physical retail environments, hosting the likes of popular North West-based fashion brand, ARNE, twice last year, alongside welcoming leading online women’s active streetwear brand, Red Run, for its debut retail flagship.

Rob Deacon, asset management director at Liverpool ONE, said: “Championing best-in-class local and online brands is one of our key commitments at Liverpool ONE and it was brilliant to see the response to Luxe Collective’s activation last weekend. Supporting initiatives and providing new experiences for our visitors continues to place Liverpool ONE as one of the leading retail and entertainment destinations in Europe, which in turn sustains strong demand from leading brands.”

Ben Gallagher, co-founder and head of social media at Luxe Collective Fashion, added: “Showcasing Luxe Collective at our Real vs. Fake event in Liverpool ONE last weekend was a huge leap forward in our brand journey. It was great to meet our followers face to face, share stories and get to know our community better. Coupled with our appearance on Dragon’s Den and significant investment earlier this month, we’re moving in a strong direction, and we’re excited to see the success we can achieve in 2024.”

This announcement follows the recent news that White Stuff, the British fashion and lifestyle brand, has signed at Liverpool ONE, the first of a number of new brands anticipated to commit to the destination’s line-up in 2024.
