Gunwharf Quays has announced that watch brand, Citizen, opened its first-ever outlet store at the outlet on Friday, August 1.
The 830sq ft store is located adjacent to The Perfume Shop and marked its opening by offering branded gifts to guests who visited the store over the opening weekend. The store includes Citizen owned brands; Bulova, Frederique Constant and Alpina watches.
In addition, locally owned taproom and coffee shop, The Fossil Thief, has recently opened in the Lock Keepers Cottage next to Banana Tree. The space offers a selection of coffees and pastries alongside locally brewed beers by Staggeringly Good Brewery, plus local wines and small plates.
Yvonne Clay, centre director at Gunwharf Quays, said “We’re thrilled to welcome both Citizen and The Fossil Thief to our lineup here at Gunwharf Quays.
“The arrival of Citizen further strengthens our premium accessory offering, while the opening of The Fossil Thief adds a fantastic local independent business to our food and beverage line-up. These two new additions, alongside other recent new brands and our centre developments and enhancements, underscore our commitment to continually evolving and delivering to our guests the best possible day out experience for shopping, leisure and dining.”
“We are delighted to have opened our first Citizen Watch UK outlet store at Gunwharf Quays.” said Mark Robinson, group managing director, Citizen Watch UK. “The store showcases the Citizen owned brands, including Citizen, Bulova, Frederique Constant and Alpina, offering Gunwharf Quays visitors an exciting collection of timepieces.”
Joe Ross, director at The Fossil Thief: “At The Fossil Thief we’re proud to be bringing a host of artisan produce from locally roasted Broadway Coffee and freshly baked Bread Addiction patisseries to craft beers from Staggeringly Good Brewery and wines curated by Crushed and Cured, to one of Portsmouth’s most iconic locations.”
The news of Citizen and The Fossil Thief’s arrival follows the opening of Oliver Bonas’ first-ever outlet store at Gunwharf Quays last month.
