Braehead Shopping Centre, part of SGS Group, has announced the upcoming opening of pop culture retailer, MINISO – marking the brand’s first store in Glasgow and only its second in Scotland.

The arrival of MINISO at Braehead signals the brand’s continued UK expansion, with 39 stores now open nationwide. Located on Lower-Level opposite MAC, the 2,267sq ft store is set to open in the coming months. MINISO has quickly become a global sensation, thanks to its ever-evolving ranges of affordable, design-led products and exclusive collections featuring characters from Sanrio, Harry Potter, Disney, Stitch, Pokémon, Care Bears and many more.

Rob Jewell, managing director, asset management at Pradera Lateral said: “MINISO is a highly anticipated addition to our retail mix and reinforces Braehead’s position as a leading retail and leisure destination in Scotland. As a globally recognised brand with a unique and engaging offering, MINISO brings a dynamic new product range to the centre, combining affordability with quality, resonating across generations.

“The launch of its first store in Glasgow at Braehead is a clear endorsement of the centre’s continued appeal amongst international brands seeking a high performing and vibrant location.”

Saad Usman, chief operations officer at MINISO said: “We are excited to be opening at Braehead – our second location in Scotland. Braehead is a well-known retail and leisure destination with a fantastic mix of brands and a loyal customer base.  We look forward to introducing our colourful and unique collections to the Braehead community and welcoming shoppers into an immersive and engaging store environment.”
